I’ve been on a bit of a journal making marathon over the last few weeks. I source leather for my journals from a furniture designer on Etsy. He usually sends me large pieces of leftover leather in all sorts of colors and finishes, giving me a lot of variety to choose from π The numerous colors and textures act as inspiration, giving me ideas about the various kinds of journals I can make. This way of sourcing my leather also helps me ensure that I’m sourcing my leather sustainably, reusing what would have otherwise gone to waste.
The first category of journals I made is simple leather journals, all soft cover and bound in sustainably sourced leather, covered in colors that are bound to bring you joy each time you use them! π

I also made this tan leather journal with striped blue lining on the inside, that gives this simple journal such a subtle yet distinct look π

My next category of journals is artsy journals, where the covered have been adorned with motifs and patterns on the cover. The abstract art really makes these journals one of a kind, that are bound to stand out!

Lastly, I made a handful of pocket leather notebooks. Pocket notebooks are sooooo cute. You can carry them around in your back pocket or purse, and use them to jot down your ideas on the go. Writing things down is so important to not forgetting stray thoughts and musings! These pocket notebooks are just perfect for the job π The leftover leather has marks and folds and details that further add to the aesthetic of these notebooks! π
